"The Trial by Written Declaration is the most under-used right in California driving law. We made it the easiest one to use."
From frustrated drivers to a working product.
A $487 fine, and an idea.
Our founder was cited for an unjust speeding violation on the 405. After three hours researching options and two lawyer consultations that quoted over $1,200, he discovered the TR-205 — California's own remedy, hidden in plain sight.
The first packet, drafted in a Google Doc.
We hand-drafted declarations for 40 friends and family members across LA, San Diego, and the Bay Area. 31 of them came back dismissed. The pattern was clear: facts, structured well, in court language, work.
From hand-drafted to instantly generated.
We trained a generation pipeline on hundreds of successful declarations, paired it with strict TR-205 formatting rules, and added OCR so users could simply photograph a ticket. The whole process became a 5-minute flow.
Snap Dismiss goes live, statewide.
We launched publicly with support for all 58 California counties. Twenty-two thousand packets and a 4.9-star rating later, we're just getting started.
Expanding the toolkit.
This year: trial-de-novo prep for users whose first declarations don't succeed, multilingual packet generation (Spanish first), and a stronger admin layer for our regeneration team.
